Security Assessments

LSS offers Security Assessments. Securing workstations, servers, and other devices in a University atmosphere can be a challenge. The RU network is constantly being probed for vulnerabilities. On top of that, new initiatives for security in Grant environments, Federal Regulations such as HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA have required much more stringent guidelines for security.
LSS staff will arrange time to assess your environment. This assessment includes identifying and documenting risks and vulnerabilities to your assets.
Please contact LSS if you are interested in hearing more about how we can assist your department in conducting an assessment of your environment.

It should be noted that OIT LAN Support will not be involved in doing network cabling, but can act as a coordinator for involving the other appropriate OIT groups from Cabling, Network Services and Telecommunications.
